Bees – 24-8-2021

Nothing has changed since my last report. We have 3 supers of honeys to take from our hives. I have added clearer boards to two of them to remove the bees. On wednesday we will check how that has progressed and inspect the brood boxes since these haven’t been done while the honey flow was on.

We should be ready to extract the honey in a week or so. I need some volunteers.

First to move the supers, they weigh in at about 30lbs,, off site, so weight lifters needed.

Second, anyone prepared to volunteer their kitchen and adjacent garden for the extraction? We usually have six or so helpers. The fallback is my kitchen but it is small.

Third, helpers on the extraction evening to decap the harvest, spin and jar the proceeds.
