Bees – 23/4/21

All six of our colonies have survived the winter, some are stronger than others which will mean merging our weaker colonies maybe and moving one strong colony that overwintered in a nucleus hive to a bigger box. On Wednesday Siobhan, Steve and I transfered our weakest colony from an 11 frame brood box to a six frame nucleus, gave the brood box a spring clean and then moved our overwintered nucleus colony to a bigger home. There will be no beekeeping tomorrow, we are having a visit from family, but we will definitely be meeting next Wednesday at 5:15.
